Concept
Our design was aimed at using the site to its maximum potential and create a Net Zero medical facility using both passive and active systems as a means to have a completely self-sufficient building.
strategy
By lifting the building, we achieved maximum use of the lot and provided more parking and direct access to its cores. Its second floor uses passive strategies in the form of cross ventilation from east to west and uses indirect sunlight to illuminate, yet minimize heating. We use a green rooftop and shading devices to further cool the building, as well as place photo-voltaic panels directed towards the sun to produce energy.
